Welcoming the Domenica Scholarship Class of 2026

Last week, we welcomed 18 new rising high school students to the family of Domenica Scholars. The scholarship event, held at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden on April 26, was a beautiful celebration of aspiration, perseverance, and hope.

College Bound!

On Saturday, March 26, we took 25 Domenica Scholars on a tour of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, accompanied by high school and Catholic Partnership School staff. The trip was open to all scholarship recipients in grades 9 through 11. You can see from their testimonials how much the young people enjoyed the trip!

Free Books in Low-Income Communities

We are pleased beyond measure to partner with Camden County Pop Up Library, our newest grantee. CCPUL’s motto says it all: “We take books where libraries don’t go and give them away.”

One Family, Four Domenica Scholars

Meet the Obasi family! All four of these outstanding young people received Domenica Scholarships to attend Catholic high schools in the Camden area. Clockwise from left, they are Kingsley (Camden Catholic 2012), Anthoney (Camden Catholic 2011), Joechin (Paul VI 2016), Michelle (Camden Catholic 2014), and their mom, Ms. Maria Obasi.
Today, all four are in graduate school!

We’re Funding Mars Exploration!

Okay, we don’t actually have anything to do with the Perseverance rover on Mars. But we are making it possible for students like the ones shown here to learn about planetary exploration, robotics, and computer programming.

Cooking Up Success

High school and college seniors are not the only ones graduating this season! On July 8, we attended the graduation ceremony for the Cathedral Kitchen Culinary and Baking Arts training program. We are proud to have supported these nine graduates in preparing for new, more hopeful chapters in their lives.

Graduation Day for Domenica Scholars!

We are so proud of our Domenica Scholar class for 2021! All 20 students who received Domenica Foundation Scholarships as eighth graders in 2016 graduated on time this year. Their cumulative grade point average was 3.3 out of 4.0. These graduates are poised to take advantage of their quality high school preparation.
